New Simpsons episode introduces Crypto as "Cash of the Future"
"The Simpsons" has been around for over 30 years now and is one of the most iconic animated TV shows out there. During this time the show has featured a number of celebrities, politicians, and other standing-out public figures, and it has also touched upon many relevant subject matters throughout the years. I guess it was just a matter of time until the show's executive producers introduce cryptocurrency to its viewers.
The latest episode of Simpsons is titled "Frincoin" and evolves around Lisa and her essay "Most Interesting Person I Know" about Professor Fink who develops his own cryptocurrency, overtaking Mr. Burn's title of the richest man in Springfield.
The episode guest stars "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons who juggles the rather complex cryptocurrency topic comprehensively and introduces cryptocurrency as the money of the future.
"When you use the currency, the transaction is recorded in the ledger, and when one ledger book gets filled up, we add to a chain of previous books – that's the blockchain", Parson explains.
"The Simpsons" has already foreseen some future events, including Donald Trump as the President of the United States and the ending of The Game of Thrones' final episode. So maybe predictions about crypto becoming the cash of the future are not as far fetched?
